Hi there! I blogged again, so this a good sign! I am so excited to share these images with you! For those who have followed along since the beginning, you know that Stephanie is one of my best friends, and is also family. Stephanie and Scott were my first ever clients, shooting their engagement in winter of 2013. So much growth has happened since then, and I’m lucky to have had this family as my test subjects since the start! This maternity shoot was planned months in advance. We knew when the shoot had to happen and where the location needed to take place. The dress, hair, and floral crown were all decided months in advance. Well, who would of thought the end of February in Edmonton would have been as warm as it was! Hardly any snow and warm temperatures led to the Ice Castle closing indefinitely two days before our scheduled shoot. I was devastated that this wasn’t going to be in the cards for us. We pushed the shoot to the end of the week due to no longer having a booked location and left it at that. Thursday came and Ice Castles YEG had an update on their Facebook page: Reopening due to colder temperatures for the weekend! I was giddy after seeing this and somehow everything came together beautifully. Timing is everything, and that sure held true when it came to this maternity session.
